Based on Turkish novelist Ömer Seyfettin's book of the same title, "The Lone Efe" follows the spirited Kezban, a girl striving to navigate a male-dominated environment. Yörük Hoca, a retired soldier from the crumbling Ottoman Empire, relocates with his daughter to a mountain village. Amidst the decline of state authority, an oppressive overlord named Eseoğlu seizes the villagers' lands. Unable to stand idly by, Yörük Hoca confronts Eseoğlu, but is brutally killed by his men. Determined to avenge her father, the courageous Kezban arms herself like an "efe", mounts her horse, and rides into the mountains to seek justice.
