الملخص:
Cáit, a nine-year-old from a troubled and impoverished family, lives a quiet life at school and at home. When her mother becomes pregnant, Cáit is sent to stay with distant relatives she has never met, unsure of when she might return. The Kinsellas, a farming couple, lead a comfortable life, and though the man of the house is initially distant, Cáit soon feels at home in their happy household.
