Crossing a vast desert, the blind mystic Bab’Aziz travels with his young granddaughter Ishtar toward a legendary meeting of dervishes said to occur once every thirty years. Along the way, they encounter wanderers whose stories reflect different paths of love, devotion, and doubt.
