Selim, an escaped convict, rapes Nazlı by a stream in their village. Traumatized, Nazlı takes her own life. Her older brother, Ahmet, recently back from military service, seeks vengeance. He travels to İstanbul with the intent of raping Selim's sister and causing her death in retribution for his sister, but his resolve is tested when he unexpectedly falls in love with her.
