Adapted from Turkish novelist Tarık Buğra's book, "Awaiting the Rain" follows Rahmi, a smart lawyer in a small town who maintains strong ties with the villagers while engaging in trade with his uncle Rıza. Alongside his professional responsibilities, Rahmi embraces the political duties expected of intellectuals in the village. After receiving a task from his late colleague Kenan, Rahmi dedicates himself to organizing the Free Party and preparing for the upcoming elections during the transition to a multi-party system in the country.
